EARLY YEARS FUNDING:
There are two types of childcare funding for your 3- or 4-year-old:
Funding for 2-year-olds:
15 hours funding for families in England, receiving some additional forms of government support. Children can use up to 570 hours each year, or a maximum of 15 hours over 38 weeks.
From Apr 2024 - Up to 15 hours for eligible working families in England with a 2-year-old.

PAYMENT OF FEES
Invoices are issued and all fees must be paid in full by bank transfer within the first week of each half term. We cannot refund fees if a child is absent or on holiday however, we will not charge fees due to closure. Fees are reviewed by the committee every six months and half a terms notice is required if you withdraw your child from Colgate Pre-school.
EMPLOYER VOUCHERS
We are registered to accept employer vouchers with a variety of providers. Employer vouchers are usually deducted from your salary before tax and national insurance payments are made. Please ask for more information of the companies we are currently registered with.
CHILDCARE AND TAX CREDITS

- Extended childcare (also known as 30 hours childcare) - For eligible working parents of 3- and 4-year-olds. Children can use an additional 570 hours each year, or a maximum of 30 hours per week over 38 weeks (1,140 hours each year). Parents must apply online to the Government to confirm their eligibility.

Tax-Free childcare
- For working families, including the self-employed, in the UK
- Earning under £100k and an average of £167 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) each over three months
- Who aren't receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers
- With children aged 0-11 (or 0-16 if disabled)
- For every £8 you pay into an online account, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child per year
